My Top 10 Make Up Brushes from Blank Canvas

When I first started doing make up you were quite limited when it came to buying affordable make up brushes. My first set of brushes were MAC brushes which are good but a bit on the pricey side.

Over the last few years a few new make up brush ranges came in to my radar and Blank Canvas was one of them. The first brush I tried was their best selling F20 brush which is still my ultimate favourite foundation brush to use both on myself and on my clients.

I am always asked to share my 'must have' make up brushes so I have compiled  a list of my top 10. Not everyone reading this is a make up artist (who can never have enough brushes) so with that in mind the list is also a complete set of make up brush essentials that will make up a full set for the average lady.

I am collaborating with meaghers.ie for this blog as they are offering 20% off brushes until  Feb 26th.

  1.F20 Buffer Brush

As I said this was the first Blank Canvas brush I tried and the one that got me in to the brand in the first place. It is an amazing foundation brush that will make blending extremely easy even for a complete novice.

4. F39 Dome Powder Brush

A fluffy powder brush is essential for achieving a flawless finish to your skin. Once your foundation is on you need to set it with a translucent powder and this is the brush for the job. You can also use this brush for a really soft contour using a matte bronzer.

5. F13 Small face/eye blending brush

This is one of my favourite brush to use for conceal and adding extra coverage using a cream concealer. I use it to blend under the eyes and also for buffing over spots for amazing full coverage. This style brush is much better to use then a flat concealer brush for coverage in my opinion.

6.E28 Ultra Fine liner brush

This brush is my favourite liner brush to use when I am using gel liners like the Inglot gel liner no.77. It has a really fine pointed top so makes a tricky thing to do a little bit easier.

7. E25 Round Top Blending Brush

If you are going to buy one brush for your eyes make it this one. It makes blending so easy and iterally does the hard work for you. There is nothing worse then harsh unblended eyeshadow and this brush will ensure a soft blended finish.

The dense firm bristles will ensure the eyeshadow is picked up with little or no fall out. I use this brush for placing my eyeshadow on before I start to blend with a fluffy brush.

9. E44 Flat Brush

This is the main brush I use for brows. I love the flat top as it helps to achieve definition under the brow. The bristles are firm so its also a good brush for applying eyeshadow under the eye and also for eyeliner if you want a soft line using a brown or black eyeshadow.
