Hey Guys ,
Sorry I haven't been as active on this as usual I was having laptop issues but all is resolved now so we are back in business! I usually do a monthly 'Must Have' list so, I am combining April and May to make a list of 10 products that I have come across over the last few months and need to share with you all!
1.Cocoa Brown ' Chocolate Whip & Tough Stuff'
Two essentials for a perfect tan! I am a big fan of tan and have tried everything on the market that promises to give the best results. You cannot have a flawless even tan without the right preparation and these two gems are the best I have found.
1.Full body exfoliation with 'Tough Stuff' : I use this on dry skin and then shower off. It leaves your skin completely tan free and smooth.
2. Use 'Chocolate Whip' on dry areas elbows, knees, ankles before you apply tan. Also as its oil free it can be used over tan to prolong it and help it fade evenly.
2. Pinksugar Online Store 'Tara' Necklace
I could not do my 10 must have items with out mentioning the new 'Tara' necklace from Pinksugar Online Store. I am honoured to have such a pretty, sparkly piece of jewellery named after me. It has already sold out twice and I can see why, its a very versatile piece that can be worn smart or casual. The gorgeous Pippa O' Connor is a fan too. There is a whole array of gorgeous sparkles to choose from. The ' Tara' Necklace is €28.
3.Inglot Secret Volume Mascara
I was recently sent this product to try and have used it everyday since. Its one of Inglots newest additions along with their eyelash serum and felt tip eyeliner. I have been giving my lashes a break from mink lashes as I am going to get a new set before my holidays, so I want to get them in good condition. I use one coat of the lash serum and one coat of this mascara and absolutely love the result. Its also smudge and flake proof and comes in a handy size so it is a must have for holidays.
Retail Price : €12
4. Argan Smooth Shampoo & Conditioner
I haven't had extensions for a year now and have become more particular with my haircare routine as I am working hard at getting my natural hair back to the way it was pre-extensions. I gave the Argan Shampoo and Conditioner a go a couple of months a go and haven't used anything else since. I find it leaves my hair feeling like its had a really intense clean and also leaves it looking so shiny. It is infused with Moroccan Argan Oil which is rich in antioxidants and replenishes moisture and adds strength which I have really noticed as have some of my close friends and family. I haven't had as many compliments about my hair in years. Best of all it is available in Penneys for €5 for the two.
5. Youngblood Mineral Powder Foundation
I met with Youngblood Cosmetics a couple of weeks ago and was introduced to their range. My every day foundation for the past 6 years has been Bare Minerals so I was interested to try another mineral brand to see how they compared. There are a few different types of Youngblood foundations but I have taken a shine to the Mineral Powder Foundation. I have always rated Bare Minerals as the best mineral foundation on the market but after trying this one I think I have been swayed. I prefer the finish of this one and the coverage is amazing without looking heavy. It also has a soft radiant finish without any shimmer which I also like. I have sensitive skin so am always wary of trying new foundations but as this one is completely free from talc, perfumes and is non-comodgenic I have had no issues.
Retail Price is €35 and you can buy it online at www.closer2fabulous.ie and in selected stockists across the country.
6. Dr. PawPaw
I am a big fan of Elizabeth Ardens 8 Hour Cream but have been using Dr. PawPaw for a while now and prefer its consistency and it is more then half the price. It is a celebrity favourite and a must have item for your make up bag, Its one of those multi purpose balms that can be used for almost anything. I mainly use it as a lip balm and face treatment before bed, although its great for softening dry hands and feet and even smoothing away stray hairs. It is available to buy in Dublins fashion haven Harvey Nichols in Dundrum .
7. kevyn Aucoin 'Sensual Skin Enhancer'
As a make up artist I am extremely fussy about foundations for my kit and so many just don't make the cut. This foundation however is completely faultless. A couple of months ago I did a masterclass in Mise Beauty in Dundalk where I was introduced to Kevyn Aucoins full collection and it was love at first sight. I have stocked up on a lot of the range so will be doing a full blog on that asap. The first shoot I used it on was with model Roz Purcell who loved the foundation so much she went to Mise to get some. It gives the skin the most flawless finish and photographs beautifully on the skin.It retails at €45 and is available to buy in Mise Beauty in Dundalk.
8. HD Brow Products
The gorgeous Anna from The Beauty Suite in Tuam knows how much I love the HD Brow range and kindly send me a gift of some of their best products. I have been using the Pro Palette on my clients for a year now and find it amazing as it has a colour to suit everyone. I use the Brunette palette on myself in 'Foxy'. The brow Beater is excellent for wayward hairs and the Brow Pencil is what you need for creating the perfect HD precision brow. It is important to remember that less is more with brows and you should be giving the effect of fine hair strokes.
9. Mi Moneda
Anyone that follows my page will notice that I hardly go anywhere without a piece of Mi Moneda jewellery on. Its one of those brands that you get addicted to and keep wanting to build on your collection. I love the rings because they are so eye catching and the necklaces are so cool because you can constantly change the coins and create so many different looks. I got the Baby foot print one for my sister after she had her baby girl in December and she loved it. They are such a nice present so boyfriends and husbands take note 😉

10. Stila Convertible Colour Lip and Cheek
I am a big fan of Stila Products, I recently had my make up done at the Stila Counter in Harvey Nichols in Dundrum and had to buy this gorgeous product. It comes in a few colours but I choose a gorgeous Peachy colour in this ingenious lipstick and blush; Gerbera. The two-in-one compact is so handy for your handbag. This colour is particularly pretty and would suit most skin tones. I use this religiously.
